John Edwards Admits To Affair But Denies Child Is His Watch The Video August 9,2008

NEWS! John Edwards has finally admitted to having an affair in 2006 with a freelance photographer, 42-year-old Rielle Hunter, who worked for the Edwards camp while he was campaigning for Presidency. Many people that worked for him while he campaigned in 2006 have released statements and have publicly said they are completely disgusted by his actions and feel betrayed.

I don't believe this story would be as shocking as it is if Edwards wife, Elizabeth Edwards did not have life threatening cancer! I would like to believe I could try to separate "private life" from "political life" and try and keep an open mind about Edwards and his political career but I just cannot get over the fact that he slept with another woman when his wife needed his support the most. Elizabeth Edwards was in remission from breast cancer when the affair took place, this is when John Edwards should have been at his wife's side, nursing her back to health and helping her feel sexy and alive! Instead he took the easy road, an affair with another woman, and a woman that worked for him!

While none of us know what goes on behind closed doors, it is easy to be cut and dry about certain situations. If you choose to be in the public eye and are asking for the trust of millions to serve your Country in its highest position, you should at least be honest and real!

Yahoo News is reporting,"Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles." This is truly sad news. Mac was rumored to be in critical condition for several weeks but just a few days ago his publicist released a statement saying his illness was not life threatening. Police raid Md. mayor's home, kill his dogs! This is the most outrages story!

NEWS! MSNBC.com reports, "MD. Mayor Cheye Calvo and wife, Trinity Tomsic, at their house in Berwyn Heights on Thursday. Calvo is asking for the U.S. Justice Department to investigate a county police raid on his home during which his dogs were killed." This is the most outrages story, and it makes me truly upset. These dogs did absolutely nothing wrong, did not attack or do anything offensive. Why were they killed? "Bachelor" Star Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas Have Ended Their Relationship... And She Wants To Keep The $65k Ring!

GOSSIP! So it looks like the engagement of Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas is over. 'The Bachelor' stars released a joint statement to People magazine last week stating:

"We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions. We truly care about each other and will remain close friends."

Rumors are that Shayne was way too much of a Hollywood party girl for Matt and that she cheated on him in Las Vegas. The steamy pictorial she did in an issue of "Girls Gone Wild" probably didn't help either. To further the pain Shayne is supposedly keeping the $65,000 ring Matt presented her with on the show. He thinks the ring should be auctioned off for charity.

Restaurant Etiquette and Manners

Money Talks!

Whether dining out alone, with guests, or with a date it is always important to plan ahead. Having the correct amount of money to pay for your meal plus any "extras" that may arise is very important. You should always carry extra cash (including small bills) with you so that you can be prepared to pay for or tip valet, doorkeepers, washroom attendants, or whatever may come up! The more organized and prepared you are the better you look!

Lets Eat Out!

If you are wishing to invite friends out to dinner it is very important to make it clear as to who is paying. If you wish to pay for your friend’s meals you can simply make it clear upon asking them “Jenny and Mike, I would love to take you both out to dinner my treat”. If you want to invite your friends out to dinner yet do not want to pay for everyone you can simply ask by saying “Jenny and Mike, I would love to meet you all for dinner tomorrow night, something casual, we can all go Dutch.” Dutch means that each person is responsible for paying their own bill.

Reservations Please, Oh And Can We Have The Best Seat In The House?

If you’re planning to dine out with either a few friends or large group, it is always nice to plan ahead and make reservations. When making your reservation always include the total number of people you are expecting, the time you wish to make the reservation, and any special requirements you might need to request; like if you want a window seat so you can have an ocean view! By making reservations ahead of time, you will avoid potential long waits and hopefully get the table you’d like. Reservations are extremely important for first dates, business lunches or dinners, and dinners with large groups. As well, when you make reservations you are most likely going to get extra care from the staff because they know you are coming and have been planning on it!

What To Wear, And More Importantly What NOT To Wear.

You should always take into consideration the formality of the restaurant you will be dining at. At a hamburger joint jeans are OK, at fancier restaurants jeans are generally a big NO. A nice pair of slacks are a better choice for guys and definitely don’t wear a pair of old tennis shoes. A pair of dark leather shoes or dress shoes should be worn. Ladies have more room to dress casual chic because they can dress up a pair of dark jeans with high heels and a gorgeous blouse. But ladies be careful about your outfit at some high class restaurants though, it’d be way embarrassing to be turned away for dinner so its better to dress up then down!

What You Should Do While You Wait For Your Table.

Most restaurants will seat you within five minutes of your reservation time but sometimes longer delays may arise. If you feel you have been waiting way too long, you may ask the host kindly when he or she believes your table will be ready. If you spend even more time waiting, more than a half an hour, most restaurants will apologize and either give you a bottle of wine for the trouble or a round of drinks while you wait. If the restaurant does not offer such an apology, you can kindly suggest such an offering.
Most restaurants will suggest you wait at the bar until your table is ready. This is generally so that you can be entertained while you wait and the restaurant can make extra money while you wait, hopefully, from drinks and/or appetizers you might order in the bar. It is up to you if you wish to wait in the bar for your table or if you would like to simply wait in the lounge.
If you decide to wait at the bar it does not mean you have to order a drink. It is polite though if one person in your party orders a drink that everyone else do the same. It does not have to be an alcoholic drink, a soda or tea is just fine. When your table is ready either you will be required to carry your unfinished drink to the table or a barkeep will carry them for you. Most bartenders prefer you to settle your tab before you move to your table yet it is also acceptable to ask the bartender to include your bar tab on the final bill. Remember to tip the bartender though before you leave the bar if you do not close your tab there.

When Your Table Is Ready Relax And Have A Great Dinner!

When your table is ready the host will notify you. Any women in the party should walk behind the host so that he may seat the women accordingly. When a woman approaches a chair, she should approach from the right side of the chair. When she is between the chair and the table, she should reach down and grab the seat of the chair and help push and guide it for the host or her date pushing in her chair to make it easier on the guy!
Old tradition states that everyone at the table should order the same number of courses. If one person is ordering an appetizer, everyone should order one or they should share. This is important as you do not want to make anyone feel uncomfortable for wanting to order more food. This rule is the same for drinks.
A basket of rolls has been placed in front of you. Don’t be shy! Grab a roll for yourself, put it on your bread plate and pass the basket along. Break off a few little pieces of bread, butter one piece at a time and eat it. NEVER butter the whole entire roll and eat it! You’ll likely get greasy fingers and a greasy ring around your mouth, not attractive at all.
If you drop something on the floor, including silverware, leave it there! Ask your server for new silverware.
If you spill something, don’t make a big deal about it. Quickly try to mop it up and go on with your meal. Accidents happen and really they are NO big deal. The wait staff sees it almost every day!
If something does not taste right or if you think the fish you have ordered has turned do not eat it. Quietly inform your server and ask for a new dish. Any classy restaurant will be appreciative of this information so they can solve the problem quickly!

Want To Split The Bill?

If it has not been made clear who shall pay the bill from the beginning there are generally two easy ways to take care of the bill. One way is to immediately ask for separate checks when you sit down to dine at a restaurant. You, of course, would not want to make a fuss about this yet leaning in and quietly asking your waiter to split the check between each party is completely acceptable. In more extravagant restaurants though, asking to split the checks is generally iffy and is sometimes acceptable and sometimes not. The other option is to figure out each person’s individual costs off one single check. Each person’s contribution to the bill should include the actual cost of their meal and drinks as well as their share of tax and tip. And finally the easiest (but usually most argumentative way) is to split the bill and divide it evenly between everyone regardless of what each person ordered. Although this is an acceptable way to split the bill, it is always important to take into consideration everyone’s financial situations. While one person may order lobster and another just a dinner salad most people do not like to split the bill this way. Always keep this in mind when suggesting that everyone simply just split the bill evenly.

The Tip!

If the service you received was good then a tip of 15 – 20 percent is acceptable and should be given. If the service was so bad that you don’t even want to give a tip, it is always best to notify the restaurant’s manager of the problems so that they may try and fix the problem. Most classy restaurants will try to compensate you for any inconvenience by removing a main course from the bill, offering free dessert, or a round of drinks on the house.
